Yes! The "curly quotes"! That's what I'm thinking of. A wrimo I know last year lost almost 2k words because of curly quotes. There is a way to turn it off to a more accurate word count. Thank you Elyndra.

You have that right! However, validation doesn't usually begin until the last week of Novemember. And it needs to be validated before midnight on Nov. 30.
